1. Check the file you selected, not just the preview
After processing an image, download the result and select that new file in the form. It is easy to pick the original from a phone gallery or a folder containing several copies. Check its name, extension and size in the file details.
Read the error and the instructions next to the upload field. Write down the accepted formats, maximum file size, required width and height, and whether the form expects one file or several. Avoid changing all of these at once: fix the requirement that the file actually misses.
2. Make sure the format is accepted
A WebP can open normally in your browser while a form accepts JPG only. Convert it to a supported format rather than renaming the extension. Renaming picture.webp to picture.jpg does not change the image data.
Filecozy works with JPG, PNG and WebP. If the original is HEIC or another unsupported format, export a supported copy from an application that handles it first. When converting a transparent PNG or WebP to JPG here, transparent areas become white.
Convert a WebP to JPG3. Separate pixel dimensions from KB
A small file can still have the wrong width or height. For an illustrative form requiring a square 600×600 image, a 180 KB picture at 1200×800 satisfies the size limit but fails the shape and dimension requirements. These numbers are an example, not a rule for a particular service.
Crop to the required shape first, then resize. With aspect ratio locked, Filecozy fits a rectangle inside the entered bounds; it does not automatically make it square. Check the final dimensions before returning to the upload form.
Check and change image dimensions4. Check the actual limit, especially near 200 KB
Filecozy’s 200 KB target uses 204,800 bytes. A receiving service may use 200,000 bytes instead, or display a rounded size. A file that meets one calculation can miss the other. Read any exact byte limit the destination provides.
If the size is close to the boundary and the form rejects it, try a lower target such as 190 KB and check the downloaded file again. This provides a margin, not a guarantee of acceptance. If the tool reports that the target was not met, resize or choose another accepted format rather than relying on the preset label.
Try the 200 KB preset5. When the image meets every listed rule
Open the downloaded file to make sure it is readable. If the service documents naming restrictions, use a simple filename. Then retry the correct file; refresh the form or sign in again if the site indicates that the session has expired.
If rejection continues, contact the service with the exact error, format, dimensions and file size. Do not keep lowering quality without a reason. Filecozy can prepare an image, but it cannot confirm the receiving site’s private validation rules or guarantee that it will accept the upload.
